I am Markenrood JEAN DEDIEU, from Haiti 🇭🇹 Agronomist, in 2020, fueled by a fervent enthusiasm for both agriculture and tourism, I established Nwalakayanm, a venture bridging these realms through the provision of a distinctive local commodity: roasted cashews. This endeavor not only addresses the challenges of market positioning and product presentation but also showcases the rich agricultural landscape while delivering an immersive tourist encounter. Building upon this success, in 2021, I founded TBS AYITI, an organization dedicated to advancing agritourism initiatives in northern Haiti, with a particular focus on the Milot commune. Through these ventures, I aim to foster sustainable development, celebrate local resources, and cultivate meaningful connections between visitors and the vibrant Haitian countryside.
